Day Of

The Day-Of sub-subcommittee’s role is to make sure everything is in order for the day of so that the events will run smoothly during their big day! We help run the coordination and create the atmosphere of our two major events, FLO Bowl and Run the Ramps. As a sub-sub we collaborate on the logistical side of each event: reserving necessary equipment, creating itineraries and brackets, attending meetings to go through details of the event with venue coordinators, etc. We have the opportunity to make the events our own and incorporate the freshmen’s ideas along the way. Day Of gives the freshmen an opportunity to work with their peers in an innovative way while creating events that will benefit the campus and community as a whole.

Involvement

The involvement sub-subcommittee is inside of Development that works to help spread the purpose of our events and MSC FISH to the community. This is accomplished by contacting organizations within B/CS to try and incorporate service-related aspects within the events such as donation drives and service booths. This helps create the atmosphere of our program focused on our broader goal of not only helping members enhance their purpose and identity but the entire community through service. This area within Development aims to help members progress their skills in professionalism, public speaking, organization and outreach to the public.

Marketing

The marketing sub-subcommittee within Development works towards designing materials in order to advertise MSC FISH’s big events such as FLO Bowl and Run the Ramps. We design t-shirts, develop branding, construct commercials, etc. As a sub-sub we use our creativity to promote our FLO’s activities, and ultimately present how the events will be displayed to the community through design. Internally, Marketing strives to create a dynamic experience that fosters creativity by producing fun projects to broadcast MSC FISH and its members.

Promotions

Promotions is a fairly new sub-sub within the Development subcommittee. We are in charge of making and maintaining relations with businesses in aims of obtaining sponsorships and funding to support MSC FISH’s aim to spread service throughout TAMU and the Brazos Valley. We also contact and strengthen our relations to service organizations so that we can connect them to the general public through our events. It is going to be exciting with the potential we have for this upcoming year!

Communications

The Communications sub-subcommittee in Development is responsible for contacting participants for the various programs Development puts on such as FLO Bowl and Run the Ramps. Communications is the direct connection between the public to our events with the information we provide. We are responsible for answering questions that the public have and engaging them towards coming out and enjoying our awesome events. Freshmen in communications will learn how to send professional emails, gain valuable skills in communicating to participants in a professional setting, improve upon public speaking skills and focus on organization and efficiency. Freshmen will overall have the opportunity to increase their skills in professionalism and have fun while doing so!
